This tour requires at least 4 days, but we would recommend more.

With over 500 miles of twisting, winding, narrow roads, we would love to take you around the North of Scotland in our 8 seater vehicle.

Let us do the driving, trust us...You will want to look out the window

There are too many epic spots to list but a few highlights could be;

  • Sea stacks and towering cliffs at Duncansby Head, the most north-east point of mainland Scotland – the surrounding waters have orcas and dolphins migrating sometimes.

  • Weave along the shores of Loch Eriboll

  • Gorgeous beaches…. Everywhere!  Walk, swim, snorkel, surf.... at the very least, stick a toe in the water

  • Those Glorious Mountains of the North; Suilven, Ben Hope, An Teallach, Quinaig ....  Gaze in wonder or hike to the top; the choice is yours.

  • We want to work with small local businesses to offer you a truly authentic experience.  We can link your Rustic Tour with activities such as golfing, fishing, kayaking, mountain-climbing, bike-hire and more.

You could also travel to some of Scotland's Islands.  Add a detour to Orkney , the Isle of Skye or the Outer Hebridean islands.

  • All of our Rustic Tours are offered as a private guided tour for you and your group.  This means that the schedule is flexible to your needs, interests and time schedule.

  • We would recommend taking 5-7 days to travel along the route (4 days minimum).  The intricate country roads don't attract high speed driving, and of course you will want to stop regularly to enjoy the beautiful locations along the way.

  • Rustic Tours will help you plan your overnight locations.  This can be arranged depending on your interests, and where you want to spend the most time along the way.

  • Overnight accommodation must be arranged prior to the tour beginning.  We can make recommendations and arrange accommodation based on your preference, time-scale and budget.  You can choose from camping, glamping, hostel, B&B or hotel accommodation, subject to availability.  During the booking process for your Rustic Tour we will begin this process with you to ensure you have the perfect accommodation for your tour.
